Happy Friday

Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you have a great weekend planned. I just wanted to update the blog and answer a few questions you might have. I've also listed our spelling words for next week.

So far for homework you should be seeing Saxon Phonics pages coming home pretty regularly. There are days that the worksheets don't have any homework, and some days we have to skip phonics because of scheduling conflicts, but usually they will have something to work on each night (Mon.-Thurs.).

We just started our Rocket math program, so you should see a half sheet of math facts each night, Monday through Thursday. These should come back to school each morning in the homework folder.

Our colorful math pages are almost always finished in class. If a student doesn't finish, I will have them take the page home for homework. If you see a page that is not completed, and it has not been graded, please help them finish it and send it back to school the next day. Occassionaly I will send home a math worksheet for homework. These are black and white, double-sided copied pages that have a "Please Sign & Return" stamp at the top. They need to be finished at home, reviewed, signed, and sent back to school. If you are ever unsure of whether or not to send something back to school, please let me know, or just send it in the homework folder and I will take it out if they need it. Thanks!

One more thing...I will usually keep the homework folders on Fridays. This gives me more time to go through them and check for reading calendars, spelling lists, and homework. Thanks for all of your support!
